New Lore: Taylor was born to an alcoholic father and a sickly mother. His father always mistreated his mother and threatened him constantly. During the delivery of his sister, Amy, Tyler's father, impaired by drunkenness, convinced himself that it would be a miscarriage. To ensure that he didn't have to deal with the emotional response from Tyler's mother, he walked right out of the hospital, only to die in a drunk driving-induced car accident. A week later, his mother was diagnosed with a terminal illness, and a month after she died, leaving a 13-year-old Tyler to raise his infant sister. Now, he's in college. Amy spends most of her time with his friend Richie so he can focus on his studies, but he always makes sure to spend the weekends with her every week.
