I want you to do something. I want you to read this comment, read the whole thing. It may change the way you see suicide.
There is a man by the name of Kevin Hines. He was born prematurely, with a lot of mental disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. At 17, his mental health was at its all-time low. He was ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฆ. He claims he vividly remembers writing his suicide note. He rode a bus to the Golden Gate Bridge, got off, and started slowly walking down the walkway. Just as he stands there, a lady approached him and asked him to take her picture before walking away. That was the moment he thought: "nobody cares." He jumped. He claims the millisecond his hands left the rails, he felt instant regret. In 4 seconds, he falls 25 stories, a speed of 75 miles per hour. He hits the water. He might as well be going into a wall of concrete. After falling, the coast guard retrieved Kevin, taking him out of the water and into the hospital. It took him months (or years, I cannot remember) to recover. After recovery, the attempt left a huge mark on his family. Every day, his dad has to call him to check up on him, make sure he is still alive. He had that impact. Kevin is still alive to this day spreading suicide awareness. He wants people to realize that what they want is not death, but rather their problems solved.
I hope you don't think the same about suicide. Have a good day and remember you are loved. Thank you for listening.
