lol this reminds me of the time i went on a royal Caribbean cruise. there was a sign in front of the 4ft pool that said "no pole vaulting" natually i had to get the story, but unfortunately no one on the ship had been there long enough to know what happened, not even the people who worked on the boat knew the story behind it, but if i had to geuss its probable some drunken idiot polevaulted into the pool. another thing i should note before i continue is that on both sides of the pool there is a shallow area right before the drop-off into the 4ft area, with that out of the way i can continue, the drunken fool probably used a pool noodle to pole vault into the pool and accidentally managed to hit the shallow area causing an injury, and thus the sign was placed
