I was much older when I realized different humans read in different ways.

I grew up with parents that read a new book every night. I thought everyone read everyday.

My brother did. He had total lexical recall. I think he never got in touch with reality. RIP

You're in 8th grade? How old was your brother when he passed away? Bless your heart. How old were you when he crossed over?

Do you have people to talk to? That's a pretty big burden to carry by someone so young. That may explain why you're so intelligent but I hope you've got friends that let you handle it in your way.

My baby sister died when I was too young to remember her but I've grieved for her my whole life. I could have really used a sister during the hard times.

That is difficult. I was fortunate to have a close sibling. I have not been in eighth grade for many many decades. But thanks for crediting me with youthfulness.

[It frustrates me to go back and forth at the limit of the tread levels. If you wished to simply continue a thread at a higher level - see comment with code below - what language would you use. Or would you be afraid to make up language for actions that are not already being done by others?]

I am so, so, sorry for your loss.

Maybe your beautiful brother was brilliant enough to know he was in touch with reality and we aren't. I've read that that kind of genius is hard to handle being that most people can't see the bigger picture like they can.

Leonardo Da Vinci had to hide his brilliance or risk being executed by the church for heresy.

Thank you. I think I need to let go. We were thick as thieves. His higher reality was mine.

Letting go is the hardest part. My mom died almost 9 years ago and I'm still holding on a little.

You know not to let your higher reality take you down a rabbit hole you can't escape from. That's your power.

I'm sorry for your loss.... Yep. U2: all higher realities are ruined by 'i'.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to live in one place, surrounded by the same people with the same thoughts, like billions of people do. It seems ... simpler. But, knowing the things I know makes me oh, so glad I didn't stay in one place.

Wait are you saying metaphorically you moved around through the use of books? No judgement; just clarifying.

I don't know what that means. I don't spend a lot of time here. I mostly just make memes to vent my frustrations. Is there a link?

Yes and no. I've physically moved a lot. I've also visited foreign countries and met lots of people and enjoyed many different cultures. I've found that most people, regardless of their personal beliefs, are good and kind. But, I've also read a lot of books. I've been in some really weird and great imaginations through books. I've travelled in space, climbed the tallest mountains and swam the deepest seas in books. My favorite is being taken into an imagined future. Second favorite are history books. People and the way we all live and believe differently amazes me. Most people believe in God or a higher power. I'm of the opinion that whatever gets you close to the goodness of God is a good thing. They don't have to believe what I believe to be close to him.

Here's the part that's hardest for most people to understand about my beliefs. Since I don't believe in hell I don't believe anyone can go there.

I grew up in abuse. I also grew up loving babies, children and animals. I learned, as time went on, that desperate people will do desperate things in desperate times. People are people. We're not all good OR bad. We're all good AND bad. We do the best that we can. I don't think we get punished for being alive. That drove my mom nuts. She needed Hitler, murderers and child abusers to be punished by God. I'm nothing like God but I did "create" some children and I'll tell you this, I'd never stop loving them. If they were murderers I'd dislike what they did and expect punishment according to the laws of the land but I'd still love them. I'd never punish them for being human. God created all of us. I think we punish ourselves enough. God is there to comfort us.

Do you write? If not, you should. You're a really good writer.

What do you want to be when you are grown? Can you picture yourself doing it in the future? Can you close your eyes and see yourself doing it? Your imagination is the most powerful thing about you. Our minds are amazing!
