Yes and no. I've physically moved a lot. I've also visited foreign countries and met lots of people and enjoyed many different cultures. I've found that most people, regardless of their personal beliefs, are good and kind. But, I've also read a lot of books. I've been in some really weird and great imaginations through books. I've travelled in space, climbed the tallest mountains and swam the deepest seas in books. My favorite is being taken into an imagined future. Second favorite are history books. People and the way we all live and believe differently amazes me. Most people believe in God or a higher power. I'm of the opinion that whatever gets you close to the goodness of God is a good thing. They don't have to believe what I believe to be close to him.
Here's the part that's hardest for most people to understand about my beliefs. Since I don't believe in hell I don't believe anyone can go there.
I grew up in abuse. I also grew up loving babies, children and animals. I learned, as time went on, that desperate people will do desperate things in desperate times. People are people. We're not all good OR bad. We're all good AND bad. We do the best that we can. I don't think we get punished for being alive. That drove my mom nuts. She needed Hitler, murderers and child abusers to be punished by God. I'm nothing like God but I did "create" some children and I'll tell you this, I'd never stop loving them. If they were murderers I'd dislike what they did and expect punishment according to the laws of the land but I'd still love them. I'd never punish them for being human. God created all of us. I think we punish ourselves enough. God is there to comfort us.
Do you write? If not, you should. You're a really good writer.
What do you want to be when you are grown? Can you picture yourself doing it in the future? Can you close your eyes and see yourself doing it? Your imagination is the most powerful thing about you. Our minds are amazing!
