I REALLY loved this one series called The Reckoners. The first book is titled “Steelheart.” It’s similar to hunger games kinda? It’s oddly dystopian. Some people ended up with powers- called epics- who end up becoming power hungry people and pretty much destroying their world. One thing is, every Epic has a weakness, something that goes against their powers. And The Reckoners, a group of regular old humans, have to figure out Steelheart’s weakness. It was SUCH a good series!!
There’s another series called the ascendence series. It’s about an orphan named sage who got kidnapped to become, like the title of the first book, the false prince, because everyone believes the prince was dead. It really is worth the time and the read!!
And then I have a couple single books that I loved-
“Improbable magic for cynical witches” is a novel about a girl struggling with mental health in Salem. She doesn’t believe in all the magic stuff until gasp plot twist I won’t spoil it but it’s a lesbian novel :) it’s so sweet and silly ^^
“Ivy Aberdeen’s letter to the world” is a book about a girl who loses her home in a tornado and has to rebuild her life from the beginning. It’s also lesbian but warning is also fairly heavy since the topic is about yk losing everything. It deals with a lot of mental health issues
