oh, it's so funny. there's this one kid in one of my classes who just constantly talks, never does his work, and then when he's confronted about it he'll be like, "sorry, I'm so adhd" (kinda like the "ditzy blonde" act people sometimes do). I asked him what ADHD stood for once and he stared at me like ;-;
(he also pretended to have tourettes, so yeah, complete dumb@ss). I actually have ADHD (diagnosed by a doctor back in 2017) and henceforth have an IEP (an Individualized Education Plan) to accommodate it. one of these accommodations is the ability to turn things in after the due date and not be penalized for it being late; very simple. this bloody turnip overhears me explaining this to our long term sub and has the AUDACITY to try and say "um, yeah, I have that too, so I also have an extension thingy"
My friends and I laughed so bloody loud at that in a near silent classroom that the kid's face went red and the sub immediately knew he was lying. He said to my best mate Damon, and I quote; "so you're laughing at me because I need special help? abelist much?" Damon just blinked slowly, looked down at his prosthetic leg, and looked back up with a completely dead expression. they stared at each other, the whole room going quiet, before Damon reached down, pulled up the leg of his trousers, and began re-tying the shoe he was wearing on the prosthetic. the kid paled and never said anything ever again about having a disability, physical or mental
