Also I love that one of them is literally just some rich guy from the 1890s, I'm a massive history nerd (currently a week away from my AP US History exam as I type) and I saw the name "John D. Rockefeller" and immediately did the DiCaprio point meme mentally. Very cool designs :)

Some things happen in the show that simply didn't, but they make it somewhat reasonable that it could have. Instead of Richard Nixon, American actor James Dean is the 37th president. In the past, John D. Rockerfeller was president, rather than being an oil tycoon.

So they changed some politicians with other politicans? Huh that’ll make the timeline interesting and confusing

It's a little hard to follow but the thing is it's sort of a multiverse thing
The Monument Mythos focuses on The Deanverse (where James Dean is president) and a little bit of a different one called the Virginiaverse (a universe seemingly similar to ours, save for the creatures there). The Nixonverse follows what it is named after, and Nixon is god. I would assume Alternate American Folklore is in the Deanverse.
