Homeschooled students often do better than public school students and even private school students. If enough people in a community homeschool their children or send them to private schools, that community should allow its residents to vote to eliminate their public school system. Then the community would have more money and time to spend on other things, such as expanding libraries, improving infrastructure, or sprucing up parks and recreation centers. They could also cut local tax rates.
