Taxing your hard work to pay for those that don't work

As much as I hate losing 14% of every paycheck I get, I mean the government couldn't function without an income tax. I guess if the tariffs work we can have other those pay for our government's operations but that seems a lot less stable

Tariffs were used right up until the income tax was put into place.

Before Woodrow Wilson we lived fine without demonizing people and taking their money. We paid "taxes" in goods and tariffs.
