They weren’t in the newspaper. These were originally posted on Facebook. I didn’t know about them until recently, when I was reading Bill Watterson’s Wikipedia article. I didn’t know about them when they first came out (2016-17) because I don’t have a Facebook account.

They might still be on Berkeley Breathed’s page or the one for “Bloom County”. There were also 3 “Bloom County” strips where Hobbes filled in for Bill the Cat. One of which you’ve already seen. I’ll find the others.
