If you look at his perspective but he's seeing the number six and the other side when you look at his six it looks like nine so the other guy sees nine and says nine but since he sees six and doesn't know six is nine from the other side he assumes he's wrong but in reality from one side its six and from the other side its nine so they both are right and wrong from perspective depending on whose point of view you look at
