"Sus AF" *OR* "Distraction" *OR* "Okay, so this is happening here... but why now?" | So Trump's been taking a lot of political heat of late
for obvious reasons and... let's say "co-incidentally"...
his Administration is touting the fresh release
of American hostages as a win... Don't get me
wrong; any time
we can recover U.S.
citizens being held overseas,
 that's a good thing -but let's
not be naive about the circumstances.
Rather, let's look at who held these
hostages: Tunisia, Venezuela, the Taliban.
Tunisia and Venezuela are openly aligned
with, political partners of Russia. And, while
the Taliban isn't exactly on good terms with
Russia, it's notable that the hostage release
was preceeded by the very recent removal of the
Taliban from Russia's terrorist organization list. Add to that the Trump Administration's 3 straight
months of governmental effwittery, Trump's
deservedly suspected useful tool (if not active
foreign agent) status and it's not unreasonable
to side-eye this latest development as a case of
Russia pulling strings to shore up an asset. | image tagged in hostage, tunisia, venezuela, taliban, sus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
