And.. where's the rehabilitation? Are you just gonna lock up and/or kill off anyone that doesn't fit your narrow definition of "normal"? If someone kills someone else, they're obviously not okay in the head, and putting them in a concrete box where they get no stimulation outside of being manhandled by the guards and most likely raped or beaten by the other inmates isn't going to do jackshit but make them worse. Sure they might pretend to be normal or "fixed" after getting let out, but we all know that deep down they're not, and having to pretend is just gonna cause them even more pain and hurt and stress, which will make them even worse, which means that when they snap and when they're unable to pretend anymore, it's gonna be even worse than last time.

The goal is not rehabilitation, it’s punishment. Not all criminals deserved to be “fixed” because they’re genuinely horrible people who deserved to be locked up for their actions. If they DO need to be fixed, then there are other locations for that.

Maybe YOU'RE the genuinely horrible person that deserves to be locked up.

Find some sort of rehabilitation or something like that. The sooner we try, the sooner we'll make it. If we never try, we'll never make it. We've never tried, so we have no way of knowing if it'll work or not.

The goal of PRISON is punishment. If they need to be rehabilitated, then they are sent to a rehabilitation center.
