Historically, it is accurate since there is proof that Jesus was a real person
But in terms of it being a story, it really depends on how you look at it

It's not just a story as It is based off historical events (at least the new testament as far as I know), and there are some other reasons but idfk I'm not the best person to explain this

In a cool religion prespective, Christianity is awesome cause they have the best scripture, it has poems, episodic parts, the rules and foundations and the epic story combining them all with CRAZY plot twists.
Not saying it's true (even though I think it's true, don't have time for a debate rn), just saying it's kinda cool

If disconnected from religion, the Bible has some of the coolest stories ever written. I’m not Christian but movies like The Prince of Egypt and Passion of the Christ are some of the best movies I’ve ever seen.
