It's been a while since I've checked local tv...do they still have cartoons on Saturday mornings?

Not on the 4 major broadcast networks. The last ones that I can remember seeing were on NBC. They were affiliated for a little while with a children’s network called Qubo. They had younger children’s shows, “Jane and the Dragon” and “Jacob Two Two”. That was at least 15 years ago. That was the last of that kind of programming that I remember seeing. I don’t watch that many cartoons anymore. Just the old classics like the Warner Bros. and Hanna Barbera cartoons and some anime.

I agree. I used to love watching them when I was a kid. Some were better than others, but most were pretty good. They say that the main reason that they stopped producing Saturday morning cartoons is because they claim that they cost too much. They started airing infomercials and added even more sports programming than they already were.

Yeah, even Sesame Street became too commercialized...like with Elmo. Tragedies all around 😕

I agree. At least we can watch a lot of the good old stuff on YouTube (or elsewhere).

So, I'll admit that I found a sesame street channel that gave me access to a few old seasons...and I binge watched ...that was a month ago 😅

I was a big Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers fan when I was a kid. I still love all of the Muppets characters on all of the various shows that they were on.
