1. Why would it be in metric if it’s an Americana tribute?
2. Wouldn’t it be to meet design rules for a class of car racing?

It’s probably in metric because they couldn’t make a 17.76 inch spoiler because it was the wrong size. The metric was probably the best thing they could do. Yes it probably was for design rules, but they wanted to add a clever twist.
