Meanwhile: June 25 11:30 pm
Fox woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of barking. He got out of his bed and went up to the pomeranian barking at the door. With a couple pats to its head, the dog calmed down.
Fox: Confetti, don’t wake me up, man… You’re here to comfort me, not make me lose my head even more…
Confetti kept barking at the door despite Fox’s command, so he just got up. He notices the jar that contained Angel’s soul is now empty. Curious, he headed out and grabbed a jacket and went to Persephone who was looking at the mortal world in horror.
Persephone: Oh dear oh dear…
Fox stares into the fountain that she uses to watch the world and sees demons attacking the cities, the towns, and of course, West City.
Fox: What the hell happened when I was asleep…?
Persephone: Well that girl from hell opened up one hell gate…
Fox: Huh. Didn’t know she was strong enough to do that.
He says with a bored expression. He really couldn’t care less at this point, but Persephone grabs him by the shoulder before he could leave.
Persephone: Listen, darling. I know Hades said you couldn’t work, but do me a favor and go out and see what’s happening for me. Thank you.
Fox just turns to her and shrugs. He’s got nothing better to do, so why not? But before he left, he turned back around and asked a question on his mind.
Fox: Hey- uh… the soul fragments…
Persephone: Yes yes… You’ll figure out where they are soon.
Fox just shakes his head and walks off with Confetti following behind. Confetti grabs his hat for him but he holds his hand out in rejection, making Confetti bring it back to the coat hanger. The man grabs a long suitcase and walks off with the dog out of the underworld. Outside, the scenery was vastly different from the one he was used to. The skies were bright red, the sounds of screams were heard all around, however this didn’t bother Fox in the slightest as he kept going towards the city… however a huge demon appeared from the skies and crashed in front of the entrance. Confetti, startled by the demon's appearance, hid behind Fox, who looked at it with boredom.
Titan: I am the great Titan, guardian of this city! I shall not allow anyone to get in nor out.
The demon looks down and sees the man in front of them
Titan: Ah, Fox! I didn’t recognize you from the first glance. You lost the hat, grew a beard. However even if we knew each other before, I shall not let you pass through, for this is the city Matt Kingsman is in.
