tbh the only thing that really irked me about the weird Whitey Bulger obsession was the fact I was being represented by a gosh darn Fenian.

It is such a weird caricature to use in order supposedly mock you. You just can't take such a ridiculous compassion seriously as if using a particular sock puppet would qualify you for Sesame Street.

Olympian picked Putin as his avatar and it was oddly fitting.
A better rep of you in mocking avatar form might have been Enoch Powell or Rupert Lowe for a more accurate caricature. But that's with the foolish expectation that your opps would have the mental capacity to draw that conclusion.

I think the reason they stuck with it is because they convinced themselves that it got on my nerves.

The reality is that it only really started annoying me quite a while after they had already decided that and began spamming it all over the stream - because a) it was getting tired and repetitive, and b) Whitey Bulger was an IRA sympathiser and I hate those bastards with a passion.

And even then I wouldn't say it got under my skin anywhere near as much as my whole O'Pea thing did with OlympianProduct. Ever since he gave me a comment timer for calling him a "pea brain" we took the mick out of him with pea-related humour and clearly something about it really upset him lol

The big difference between the Bulger 'gag' and your OP joke (aside from relevance) is the fact that the O'Pea material is actually funny. Olympian was one of the most tyrannical moderators Imgflip has ever had - and all that power did not bode well with his fragility especially when it came to banter.

My problem (if you can even call it that) with the Whitey Bulger jokes was how quickly it overstayed its welcome. Those jokes never evolved or adapted and without an essay of context to explain it, nobody at a glance would even understand what it meant and if your humour is so esoteric it needs to be explained then it just wasn't funny.

The OP jokes were simple, relevant, adaptable and most importantly were *funny* (makes a BIG difference methinks).

The left are incapable of being funny and this just further proves that fact. They aren't even ironically funny; its actually tragic.

One thing you do have right, Toby's Pea memes actually were funny. In their own special way.

That's one of the giveaways that the tepid attempt at LARPing above is not him. Guy's about as funny as an empty can of tuna rusting behind a back alley dumpster somewhere.

Honestly, never had heard of the guy until the memes. I forgot who originally made the comparison, I want to say it was either Surly or Chronic.

I hadn't heard of him beforehand either. If I had to guess I reckon it was Chthonic who started the trend because he made more memes attacking me than anyone else and he was much more creative in that regard. Whereas Surly only made a couple hundred attack ads against me ("only a couple hundred" lol) and was comparatively more interested in opposing me politically than with meme warfare. But despite Chthonic being so dedicated to making hundreds of anti-IG memes, me and him had a weird kind of begrudging respect for one another, whereas Surly's dislike of me was considerably more bitter and vitriolic.
