When I was a kid I always felt sorry for the animals that all of the big jungle and forest cats used to attack, kill and eat.

Me, too! Oh, man, have I got a story for you about when I bought 6 chicks to fight my depression. I loved raising them. They really made me laugh! But it was horrible me when I had to slaughter them. I can't imagine how people got used to hunting big game, etc. It's a horrid experience.

You’re right. I’ve never been hunting, but I had relatives who did and have nothing against most people who do. Unless they’re just killing for no absolutely reason. For food and self defense and to prevent extreme overpopulation in certain areas. Those are things I have no problem with.

Yeah, I agree. It's just that I couldn't kill big game. A goose from far away maybe. But to skin an animal, no way! I bet humans just got used to doing those things. ?? I wonder if prehistoric teenagers screamed "But I'm a vegetarian!"

If you had to do it for survival reasons you’d probably learn pretty quickly. It’s a good thing that it hasn’t come to something like that (so far). The prehistoric vegetarians were probably looked at with scorn by the all of the hunters and meat eaters in the tribe. Sort of like they are (to a lesser extent) today (lol).
