Is the Embros species a part of a specific universe or is it your own creation?

Can you explain exactly what you mean by that

I mean: Did you, Memez_cool, develop the idea for the embros species (including Flare), or did you find the embros species in a different universe and liked it so much that you made your own character for the species?
I don't know if that's any more clear or not, lol
