I’ve noticed that some of you have expressed dislike for AI-generated content, labeling it as "AI Slop."
I see where you’re coming from,
Remember a pancake has two sides and I’d like to share a different perspective on the role of AI in our community. First and foremost, let’s remember that creativity isn’t about the tool—it’s about the vision and intent behind it.
Whether a meme is drawn by hand, edited in Photoshop, or created with the help of an AI, the magic lies in the idea that makes us laugh, think, or relate. AI tools, like any other, are extensions of our creativity. They allow us to experiment, push boundaries, and sometimes bring to life concepts that might otherwise remain unrealized. Secondly, dismissing AI-generated images ignores the skill involved in using these tools effectively.
Crafting a truly impactful meme with AI isn’t as simple as pressing a button—it requires thought, refinement, and a human touch. The AI is merely a collaborator, helping turn imagination into reality.
Lastly, Just as digital photography didn’t destroy traditional photography, AI won’t erase human artistry. Instead, it can help spark new ideas, challenge norms, and even making tools accessible to all. Instead of dismissing AI, After all, the end goal is to make each other laugh, connect, and share our memes—whether they’re hand-drawn masterpieces or collaborations with the latest tech.
So, let’s keep the critique constructive and the creativity flowing. Together, we can prove that memes, no matter how they’re made, are all about the human element—the wit, humor, and heart behind them. | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

i dont dismiss people who created the hardware and software behind ai, just the people who think theyre doing anything remotely useful by posting images/videos of it and people who act like it takes skill to use
