Just got back from the dmv, got my learners permit.

Serious question tho (I know it's been a week but still-): What exactly are birth certificates for? I know I was born, and I can tell you everything you need know about me, and if I can't tell you then you don't need to know it.

More just to verify citizenry, and to prove that you ARE who you claim to be. Only one person on earth should have this piece of paper.
