When Super Mario Kart, the first Mario Kart, released in 1992, it costed 50-60 USD at the time, depending on where you got it from.

Yes, $80 is a lot. But I think it’s worth it for a great game.

We also live in the era of HD. However more expensive it was to put a game on a big ass NES cartridge, it’s just as expensive to make games that aren’t 8-bit. Sure, the games can be digitally downloaded, but at least you can’t see every individual pixel

Yes, it’s expensive. But I think it’s worth it because this is a super fun looking game. If you don’t think it looks fun enough to justify the price, then you don’t need to play it.

I don’t think every Nintendo game is worth their price. I personally don’t think Mario Wonder was good enough to justify costing as much as it did. But this new Mario Kart seems like enough of an improvement over 8 Deluxe to justify costing $20 more, especially when factoring in inflation
