Wasn’t a filibuster.
Just a long-ass boring speech in an otherwise empty chamber.

You sat through 23 hours of a bloviating rant about Orange Man being bad. Is your 'fix' that high? You need help.

I didn't sit through the whole speech. Also, if you don't think the Orange man is doing a terrible job then it is you who needs the help

So he's doing a" terrible" job at securing the borders. So he's doing a "terrible" job cutting waste and fraud because some left-slanted talking head on the news says so. So he's doing a" terrible " job "because tariffs aren't fair." He's doing a " terrible" job because he isn't kissing Europe's ass. He's doing what he was elected to do. And I give him credit for trying, even if he doesn't succeed, because he has the BRASS BALLS to at least try, and maybe succeed at at least half of what he wants to accomplish.

So sending people to El Salvador without due process isn't terrible? Every administration left, right, and center deport illegals that are criminals. So lying about the waste, fraud, and abuse isn't terrible? Did you even look into why Musk went after agencies that he did? USAID had investigations against Musk's companies. Trying to illegally close USAID directly benefits Musk. CFPB is essentially an anti-scam police that has returned billions of dollars to millions of people cheated by big financial institutions. Musk had nothing but conflicts of interests even though Trump and Musk "wouldn't want that". And tariffs, think about that for a moment. The foreign government doesn't pay the tariffs, the importing company does, and to keep profits they raise prices on those products. We get many products from other countries, the result is us paying more and at the same time pissing off trade partners. There aren't winners in these trade wars Trump is doing, the losers are We the People.

So what was Trump elected to do? Pardon those that attacked our seat of government on J6?
Gut government agencies to fund tax cuts that overwhelmingly favor the wealthy while raising taxes on lower earners? Was he elected to let someone run roughshod over the VA by firing tens of thousands of veterans and even destaffing the veteran suicide line? Was he elected to warmonger with Greenland and to have his minions in the House draft a bill to rename it Red, White, and Blueland if we take it? Was he elected to try to make Canada the 51st state? Was he elected to start trade wars with our allies? Was he elected to lower our GDP and push for inflationary policies? Was he elected to deport people even if they have green cards, or even people like Kilmar Abrego Garcia that had protections against deportation? Was he elected to ignore court orders to turn planes around heading to El SalvadorWas he elected to attack news outlets because they post a lot of critical pieces about him saying that it should be illegal (granted I don't like mainstream media much on either side)? Was he elected to go after law firms in an attempt to chill lawsuits against him to try to strongarm pro bono work for him? Was he elected to put presidential immunity to the test where he doesn't really have a check from other branches of government? Was he elected to be a dictator? You give him credit for trying all this stuff I mentioned? You want him to succeed with this stuff?

That's a lie since you've already had the time to respond several times. You just can't admit that Trump is terrible when there are plenty of evidence that he is terrible.

Irrelevant whether it's true or not, "Combat veteran." DGAF.
You should know what it means, to either "lead, follow, or get out of the way."
If you stand with Trump's opponents and political enemies you are standing with our countries enemies who by the way are only looking out for their own countries' interests as well. I don't GAF about Musk, his Starlink, and Ukraine, and USAID's nose in it. Prove or show links where the Trump administration lied about waste and fraud. Laiken-Riley Act was passed and signed into law. if you don't like it? Hold your nose. Presidential Pardons and the merit of the recipients: Do you want to debate about that on another thread and do a comparison between Trump and Biden? etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc, TLDR etc, etc.

<Trump IS a felon whether you like it or not.> DGAF. The charges would have never been made into felonies but for attorneys James and Braggs
<.those people were not given their due process.>Your opinion. If it were that cut and dried there wouldn't be any legal debate about it would there?
<Big money in politics is your "deep state">.
You got the "Two-fer" with the Democratic Party: "Dark Money" from NGOs getting grants and funding from, what's that called- USAid? The political elite, and unelected, unappointed self-interested bureaucrats. You have a problem with Elon Musk only because he turned on the Democratic Party. But you have or had no problem with the likes of George Soros throwing his his fortunes into American politics.

<People should stand in the way of someone that breaks laws and constantly does blatantly unconstitutional things.> The laws Trump broke he was already tried for, sentence passed, decision rendered. You aren't anyone's judge jury and executioner let alone Trump's.

<constantly does blatantly unconstitutional things.> That is tbd in court, again, your opinion.
0 ups, 2w
I get you DGAF about the fact that Trump is a felon, you don't have to. James and Braggs don't just get to make charges into felonies. According to New York state laws that Trump violated they're felonies.

If there is a debate about due process then there shouldn't be deportations until that's resolved. There are people that being rounded up and sent to El Salvador without being able to defend themselves, also the White House even admitted there were "administrative errors". That's a big problem.

I do have a problem with "Dark money" from NGOs, I have never been a Musk fan, and I agree with you that Soros dumping fortunes into American politics is a big problem. If Democrats do take funding from USAid that's a huge problem, I would love to see proof of it. I would love to yell at my Democratic Congressman and protest against that if they're doing that. I dislike Soros probably about as much as you do. Big donors are a problem, it induces politicians to cater to donors instead of We the People.

For standing in Trump's way, it's not for the New York stuff, it's for what he's doing now. I know it's my opinion that Trump does blatantly unconstitutional things, I want it mitigated in court.

No kid, I don't have time. Get it?
0 ups, 2w
And I'm not a kid. I'm a combat veteran that proudly served this country. A patriot. Get it?
0 ups, 2w
You still can't refute anything. Also if I stand with Trump's enemies that makes me a patriot. Trump doesn't care about what's best for you, for me, or for the United States.

Just a few hours ago, the Senate passed a resolution to repeal the Canada tariffs. I realize that it's probably DOA in the House, but why tariffs on Canada? The White House mentioned that Canada is not doing enough to stop the flow of fentanyl from Canada. Give me a break, there have only been 12 pounds from Canada this year.

"Refute?"

FENTANYL X12 lbs. = about 2.4 million overdoses. And it's only been a month or so?

<Was he elected to be a dictator> GTFO.

<ignore court orders to turn around planes> given by judges overstepping their powers? Yes. again, GTFO Repeat. Laiken-Riley Act. GTFO

<Can he deport people with green cards? Given circumstances. >Apparently, YES. GTFO

Do you think Trump has done nothing under legal advisement? Just because you don't like his foreign and domestic policy approaches doesn't make it wrong.

"Your" beloved "deep state" tried to convict him, tried to keep him from running for president, from being elected, and now are trying to stand in his way of doing everything. They had NOTHING to stop him with, legally. NOTHING.

And then after only a month in office you are going to point your fingers and criticize for 'failure' when "your heroes" in the deep state want to run interference. GTFO.

"Patriot Combat Veteran" whatever. Sure buddy, sure. Irrelevant.
0 ups, 2w
Here's what I'll refute.
12 lbs would be 5.44 million overdoses. 6200 lbs came through the southern border, or 2.8 billion overdoses. Any overdose is bad, a tariff will do nothing for this.

Laken-Riley allows for ICE to DETAIN aliens (not green cars holders, not citizens) who have been arrested for burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting. It does NOT allow for shipping them off to El Salvador or Gitmo or wherever Trump wants to disappear people to. So YES absolutely a judge is not overstepping when ordering the planes to turn around. They still get due process before being deported, Trump CANNOT unilaterally decide to deport people.

Trump got convicted of 34 felony counts because he committed those crimes and was found guilty by a jury, not by the "deep state". Big money in politics is your "deep state". People should stand in the way of someone that breaks laws and constantly does blatantly unconstitutional things. A dictator has no need to follow the Constitution.

So no I don't need to GTFO.

Continuing. . . because I have nothing better to do right now. .

The Trump-as-a-felon thing? And, so? Ruling judge Merchan granted an "unconditional discharge", or, "Get Out of Jail Free" because circumstances and constitutional protections.
I know that must stick in your craw something terrible. The law, actually protected Trump, and he is using the SAME legal system and laws with his POTUS authority and Execuive Powers to do what he sees fit to do. Pound sand. and GTFO

And now the Green Card thing.
Well pardon me, wrong law.

Being a Green card holder is not the same as being a US citizen, and a GCH can be deported for violations of INA (Immigration and Nationality Act) who have been arrested for burglary, theft, larceny, or shoplifting, as well as fraud, misrepresentation, helping others to enter the country illegally, and oh, Involvement in terrorism, espionage or any activity threatening U.S. national security, like uh, maybe Pro-Hamas campus protests, having know ties and sympathies to Hamas, etc. . GTFO

More to the point of (one) of your complaints INA Section 237(a)(4)(C). allows the Secretary of State to determine that a non-citizen's "presence or activities in the United States would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States," leading to their deportability. Clinton used the same statute in 1995 because apparently he was trying to deal with the SAME ISSUES. Wow. The way you are ranting you'd think Trump just willy-nilly is going off the deep end kicking people out of the country for 'any and no reason' GTFO
0 ups, 2w
You're the one kicking rocks. Trump IS a felon whether you like it or not. Why would he need a "Get out of jail card" if he was not guilty? Also, why would he need to pay money to someone he didn't know for something he says he didn't do while falsifying business to do it?

Your rant about INA literally proves my point "being deported for violations of INA". That requires due process. The judge ordered the planes to turn around not because he wants gangsters and criminals in the US, it's because those people were not given their due process. If they are guilty, then yes, deport them!

Protesting is also not illegal! It's a first Amendment right! Even Charlotteville was allowed, as much as I disagreed with what they were protesting, they had the right to protest about "Jews not replacing them". Are you trying to tell me you're not in favor of the first Amendment, or that it only applies to groups of people you like?

Also those protests aren't pro-Hamas, they're pro-Palestinian. Do I agree with what they're protesting? Not really, but that doesn't mean they should get disappeared without due process.
Not every Palestinian is Hamas. Trump SHOULD deport criminal illegals, I'm not advocating that he shouldn't What I do advocate for is due process.

So again, I don't need to GTFO. You have no reason to tell me to GTFO. Also even if you ordered me to GTFO, I wouldn't GTFO.

Yes, I did not bother to listen to that phony. He is not my Senator.
A filibuster is used stop the passage of a bill.
There were no bills on the table.
So, no… it definitely was NOT a filibuster.

Well, he apparently somewhat broke the record for a long-ass speech and since it was Cory Booker, it was bound to be boring 🥱.
0 ups, 2w
At any rate, I'm glad he broke Strom Thurmand's record for his speech when he was filibustering against the Civil Rights Act.
