it was tiring and my mom and sister made me feel horrible 70% of the time
but arizona itself was incredibly pretty. it felt right, yk. i was born there and spent my early life in tucson, and i would go back frequently. i saw the hospital i was born in, i had lots of good food i still think mexican food sucks up north, you get what people call "whitewashed" mexican food. now, down in tucson, filibertos was legitimately leagues better than any restaurant up here.
then the grand canyon, i had lots and LOTS of good food in both the el tovar and arizona steakhouse (but the maswik lodge just had greasy bar food). i hiked the bright angel trail for 1.5 miles and came back up, i hiked the rim trail, we sniffed some trees (lol, people argue if it smells like vanilla or butterscotch but ITS OBVIOUSLY BUTTERSCOTCH ToT)
oh ya and the desert museum was pretty nice. i liked the museum myself. if my mum didnt go id take the 30 minute hike it would have offered, but i stayed back and drank with my grandfather and brother.
there was lots of pretty navajo art! i liked the damascus knives, the money clips and the brooches myself. (i said out loud "i really like the knives, arrows, tomahawks and just things you can use in general" and my grandfather patted me on the back and said "well, thats cuz youre a boy" and although i wished i werent he's absolutely right)
