I think It was for famous people to get paid by making special content for their fans but since they allow sexual content it eventually became a porn site

If YouTube didn’t have extremely strict guidelines and terms of service, it would most certainly have a pornography aspect to it.

It’s so big of a market that it needs to be suppressed in order to protect most people (and especially kids) from seeing.
