SpiderHeck somewhat has this. It is a 2D platformer, but it’s just as much of a top-down shooter. You have lightsabers, but you control the angle you’re holding it with your mouse or joystick. If you want to swing it, you need to shift the mouse or jerk the joystick.
They could have just made it a button spam fighting game (press X and watch the spider swing for you), but the option they went with is way more fun.
