Riiight
Well I'm gonna get an Xbox series X at some point within the next month, and my dad is gonna hopefully hook my mom and I up with gamepass, and we gotta talk it over
The joints are what make it difficult. I'm convinced the only reason I've gotten as far as I have with the blue plastic is because I've built a lot of Gundam kits and have a general idea of what the joints should look like
This'll be really good if I decide to design a grunt unit because then I can just use the molds to make perfect copies of parts, and if I wanna make some sort of specialized grunt I can do that and add custom parts on top of it
That's it. I'm ditching the blue plastic technique. Making these takes way too much time and is way too risky because of how I do it. Basically I just use a sawblade attachment on my dremel to cut each part out and I'm paranoid the whole time because I could cut off my finger if I'm not careful. New technique is much safer but not much less time consuming. I'll get some molding clay, make the rough shape with that, then sand it down into the intended shape and carve in some details, then make a mold of that using caulking. By doing this I can create perfect copies of parts, and if I keep thr original clay part I can replace the mold if anything goes wrong
