My school is not even that bad at all!…
We have guidance counselors and afterschool programs like: helping those struggling with mental health, tutoring, special accommodations (ie: extra time, text-to-speech and speech-to-text devices for those that may have dyslexia, repetition in oral questions and clearer questions for those that may need it, allowing MP3 players and calculators for certain individuals, braile-form tests for the blind, gaurdrails for some of the toilets (for those that may be paraplegic), etc.), and much more that are intended to help with people with any problems.
I don't know why the American school system doesn't have most of these, but I think that Donald Trump will (probably) make it worse because of his plans that are against disabled, LGBTQ+, or those stuggling with mental health (that will affect their daily life)…
