Fun fact: my dad wears gold armor only because he likes the way it looks

My dad likes digging dirt in Minecraft because it sounds nice to him.
He likes mining stone for the sake of the sound, but not as much as dirt, though...

Gold is more useful than leather, the only piece of gold armor you need are the boots, but there is literally no reason to craft leather unless you want to dye it

i still rarely see anyone use golden armor as actual armor instead of specific purposes like piglins or stuff

That’s why only the boots are useful, no reason to wear full gold for piglins I’m pretty sure
