I don’t know what happened, but there was a glitch on the other comments page about which Jackie Chan I would recommend that weren’t as silly as his other films. For some reason I wasn’t able to comment any more so I’ll attempt to do it in this thread.
His 1985 film, “Police Story”, is my favorite film of his. The fight scenes are some of the best ever. There is comedy but the action sequences outweigh the humorous ones. “The Armour of God”
films are good, too. His earliest films in the 1970s and 1980s are good. “The Young Master”, “Dragon Lord” and “Drunken Master”. These are all good places to start.
