Billionaires are the real thieves

If they’re thieves they are the worst kind because they generate a great deal of wealth for the communities they live in. You assume that wealth is a fixed pie but it’s not. It ever expands.

Yet the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.

Every billionaire could end homelessness

You act like a billionaire has billions of dollars sitting in a bank vault, but that’s not the case. Their net assets are valued at a billion dollars or more. That means their money is largely tied up in the stocks they own in companies that are high value. If that were to be seized or all their assets sold off to end homelessness ther companies would be devalued, causing workers that you claim to care so much about to lose their jobs and default on their mortgages.

Workers should take control of their work then

They do have control of it. I get paid and can do what I please with MY money. In communism EVERYONE ELSE decides what I do with it.

Capitalism means there is an unjust hierarchy you will never get to the top of without exploiting someone.

There has to be homeless people for capitalism to work. I read that in the economics book you told me to read. A system like that can't exist

Anarchism is where everyone does what is right in his own eyes — no law to be found. However, there can be no economics without law. The word “Economy” literally means “Law of the household.”

Okay, I get it now. Full communism isn't totally for everyone. It is for me though. There are alternatives for you though, like co-op markets/market socialism. Some people would try full communism though. It's only the most deeply kind people though

I wouldn’t want any communism or socialism. When a government or society (if you prefer) gives people what they need to live they have the power to withhold it if they don’t like you. You speak against them for something that goes against what you believe and they can make sure you don’t have food, or take your house, make you disappear into a gulag, or have you buried. Communism does not respect individuals and as such they can’t respect the rights of the community as communities are made up of individuals.

It’s easier when you have someone organize the project to be completed and give direction — which is what an employer does. As for profit being the motive, that’s how you know you’re making the best use of your most scarce resource: Time. The time you spend on a Netflix binge can’t be spent mowing yards for extra cash, and the time you spend writing communist talking points ad nauseum can’t be spent learning economics.

No. The owner controls your work, not you. All workers must work for the general public, not one person.

They are working for the general public. By working for an employer they are helping that employer meet needs of the public. Communists can’t see the forest for the trees.

Take a house builder making houses for those who would otherwise be homeless. If he has a team of workers they can have a house built in about four months: if he can have several crews going he can build more houses over the course of the same four months. If he had to do all of it himself, he would be unable to finish one house in a year. By hiring employees, he better serves the public by getting more houses built and preventing more people from being homeless. This is but one example of how hiring workers benefits all of society.

Except all the money goes to the employer even though the employees did the work. That's unfair.

Sure, all the workers should give of their own resources to make the project happen. But I have told you something similar before. If you want a share of the profits of a business buy some stock in it and be willing to incur the risks, including assuming personal debt of the business goes into debt and working without pay if it is less profitable. It’s easier for most workers to let the employer buy all the materials and pay all the costs.

How is it unfair for the employer to pay for the materials and tools, and pay the employees for their time and him not get paid anything for being the director of the operation? You clearly don’t understand that profit is a business owner’s wages.

In a true anarchist society nobody produces what they need because the community will take care of them. So nobody gets what they need.

Everyone is the community

That doesn’t address anything. People in the community will still try to get something for nothing, so they won’t help the community. After that eventually everyone else will stop producing until the community is unsustainable. Also, communities don’t act. Only individuals do.
