I'm old enough to remember when EVERY Google search would tell you that Joe Biden was not Senile. AND Covid was worse Typhoid.

Describe one way in which the DoE has improved American Education.

And yet they have managed only to keep American youth increasingly ignorant.

Odd that democrats laud this accomplishment.

For 40+ years the DoE has failed to enhance education in any sort of way.

American children have remained largely ignorant and unable to read, write, or do math on even a basic level.

How should one interpret that?

well again, as wildly inaccurate. your claim has always been true of some children, but not the majority. and again you're trying to blur the primary responsibility to the Dept. many conservatives don't see the net value in education of the country, even when educators and industry tells them, and even when major lessons like Covid happen on an increasingly frequent basis. politicians have wanted to do away with the Dept before, but they were mostly college-educated and knew the benefits of it. so instead of telling that truth, they say things like the Dept hasn't elevated education in the US. they know that education would deteriorate without some national organization, but to them the important thing is re-election.

if you want better education in the US, you should do what the people who really care do: go in and do the job, often for low pay and little financial support under stressful conditions.

Keep muddying the water with straw man and obfuscating statements.

The DoE has failed.

Students are getting dumber, but at least they have green hair.

The DoE is an unnecessary entity.

It consumes financial resources that could be used to enhance the teaching of the abc123 aspect of education by the STATES.

Teachers get paid plenty.

This "we don't get paid enough" sob story is bullshit.

ESPECIALLY since they knew before even getting the teaching education (which also sucks) they knew what the pay was AND to a man, woman, they/them, everyone of them said the reason they want to go into teaching was "for the children" *tear*.

Whether buyer's remorse or yet another excuse to try and duck out of the student loans you agreed to pay (managed by tbe DoE, right?), the pay is more than sufficient.

If you don't like the pay, get another job that pays more and provides vetter benefits.

What's that? You can't?

That's right. They can't. But they should.

Everybody knows a person working a job they think doesn't pay them enough does a little as possible out of spite.

Just a snippet from the ed.gov site.

Care to explain why they think they develop programs that have to do with IMPROVING student learning?

That mirrors the common response from teachers when asked a question.
