Polite aside, here... He's pointing to the Congressional debate and discourse, so it isn't 'made up'.
I don't agree with the Viking, about everything - but he does his due diligence when it comes to pinning down the facts at issue.
I think College should be free, or as close to that as possible - like it was for decades here in California. But in 1973 or so, a group called the Trilateral Commission wrote a report called "The Crisis of Democracy" - about why people were getting too hard to control, and making too many demands of the system, about things like ending the Vietnam War, etc.. So they proposed lowering living standards, and raising the price of College tuitions. At about the same time, the Military Draft ended - so the "Poverty Draft" began - making people join the military to be able to afford college. It sucks, but those are the facts. And College Loans can't be discharged through a bankruptcy. So the reality for most folks, is slavery for life.
