Spiff the Conqueror!

This is always a fun part of Calvin if you like sci-fi, planets, aliens. And it really shows off his imagination!!

The Sunday editions of the Spiff cartoons had some of the most elaborate and detailed artwork of the entire series. The most colorful as well.

I have the special collector's edition of all the books. I'll look at the weekend ones in color. Honestly, I tend to pass over the colored panels because they seem to chaotic and I can't read them.

I have that edition too. The boxed set with 3 volumes in a slipcase. One of my most prized possessions! I have a lot of the paperback collections that I read the most.
I usually have to read the color strips with a magnifying glass. It helps me a lot to take it all in.

Yeah, that's a good idea to use a magnifying glass. It's just so much color and words that my mind is over stimulated. My set has 6 books, in a fancy box, and that box has a slip cover. I spoiled myself a few.months ago when it was half off on Amazon ($125 full price). Quite a deal! And I keep it in the shipping box because even that came padded.

Nice! I’ve seen a 4 volume set and the 3 volume set. I didn’t know about the 6 volume set. It’s just great to have every strip that was ever made all available in one place like that.
I also keep mine in the shipping box that it originally came in.

Yep! That’s exactly like mine. I literally drooled when I first saw it. I didn’t even know that it existed until I saw it in a discount book catalog. It was on sell at half-price too. I had to have it. I would have gladly paid full price for it though.
