I've played several rogue-lites in my time (Vampire Survivors, Crab Champions, Zombieville USA 3D, Rogue Legacy). What sets this game apart as a true roguelike is the randomly generated rooms, and there's no outside progression. Once you die, you start over and there are no permanent upgrades.
Dungeon of the ENDLESS is also a tower defense game, a turn-based strategy game, and a resource management simulator on top of that. This is not something I expected I'd be in to.
Also you can play as Team Fortress 2 characters.
