Ok. I did some research. Some can bloom in winter under very specific conditions...but their blooms look curled, bitten, black, frosted, etc. So...I wonder if a photo like this could be taken in June (for instance). I lived in Denver when we had a freak snow storm in June. Grandma's roses could have kept their pretty blooms due to the temperature. I jumped to the conclusion it was taken in mid-winter like it is now...when I'm freezing cold!
