Like, you stop yourself from making efforts or you're feeling like the efforts are too slow/ineffective?
For the first situation, your solution is discipline. But discipline is never a great experience, so keep in mind your final goal : evolve for the better, for yourself and the others.
For the second, this is literally me like 12 years ago. Let's say my social skills were in the negative and I struggled ALOT with that. Well time went by, I learned mistake by mistake and at the end I'm getting really social with a group of friends.
The most important part isnto learn how to not make the same mistakes twice. You have to remember which case can lead to which problem, and eventually you'll see the fruit of your progress.
As for ADHD, I'm not really an expert on that (my case is completely different), so I'd recommend taking some advice from experts on how to deal with ADHD on daily situations.
Don't despair because a situation is not evolving, try finding solutions to making it evolve in the best way possible instead.
Yeah it sounds dumb asf, and it's not easy. But really, if you are unsatisfied about your situation, try finding solutions on the list kf solutions you already got from your past experience.
Also ranting helps for that since people have some quite neat solutions to offer sometimes. And when they don't, they at least make you think.
Just... be careful who you rent to. Life is wild but the internet is wilder.
