I wasn't good on piano, either. I didn't like it. Wind instruments are more fun: it's like singing through it rather than pounding piano keys. Also, I read that Ravenous has somewhat of a cult-following. Same with the music?

Yeah, the music adds to its cult status. It was a memorable part of the movie after seeing it the first time.

Alright, I'll give it a try. I just searched for it. There appears to be a remake 2017 on Netflix. I'll have to rent the original.

Now, having watched Ravenous, I can clearly understand why the Western Frontier succeeded only due to the incredibly strong men who ate their way to Denver and beyond.

It's definitely deeper than just a horror movie. Also, I've read about Alfred Packer because I've lived in Colorado for quite a few years now.

Soooo....my concern continues to grow. There's a part in the movie when they talk about pioneers moving to Colorado...another part about the need to find friends who are into cannibalism, too. THEN, we have you promoting this film...and living in Colorado (where you've studied up on a cannibal). I wonder many things about you. My answer is no: although I have a thing about blood, I am not interested in joining your circle of friends. 💀😱😵👻🙈🙉🙊

Don't worry, it's just me liking macabre horror movies/literature as well as the Old West/Civil War. And I was a medic for a bit in the U.S. Army. I suppose all of those things lead me to like this movie.

Major Knox was more of a surgeon. Medics these days don't do much cutting, but things like stitches, IVs, splints, vaccinations, etc. Sometimes a little vampire stuff with blood drawing (phlebotomy).

I actually don't like blood; I'm just not squeamish around it. If that makes sense.

Atmospheric, intelligent, and fused with science fiction or dark fantasy—like Mary Shelley and Oscar Wilde, respectively. So I love the TV series you love, Penny Dreadful. But I also like intelligent and gross, like Clive Barker and the movie Drag Me to Hell.
