Unless someone on the team did something the violated workspace policy, I don’t see a reason for firing the entire team that created Direct File other than someone in the US Gov or lobbying a massive amount of money wants it gone so they can introduce their own service to pay taxes (or increase the amount of money made by companies like TurboTax). Elon musk directly tweeting that the team is gone says something, why would he know a team of computer engineers, coders, and IT guys for a government service were all moved to other positions or fired?
