no i am seirous, it has not worked since 2016 and i am now trying to fix it and can not figure it out anywhere

i asked because it looks like a screenshot of the BIOS (good luck) and it says Pentium

this is not a picture from my pc, i looked this up online and this one is very similar if not identicle.

is it a sata hard drive?

im pretty sure it means youre missing something required to boot

i made sure everything was tight and secure.

does your pc have
- ram
- cpu installed
- cords plugged in correctly
- all power supply cables plugged into the necessary ports

i took the ram out and put it back in, everything was put in from my uncle and he knows all about computers, he made the computer i am using right now, i do have a couple ram sticks in an even older computer if that would help.

for the brand? i am prety sure it is intel. i do have an even older cpu but it probably has not run since the early 2000s or even the 1990s.

pretty damn sure that it is, everything is screwed in everything is connected to it, and it has worked pretty well in the past and it then randomly stopped working. (i did not build the computer)

probably, if i were to put a windows xp installation disc would anything happen?

if i were to try to boot it from the disc and repair it will that delete all of my things?

depends. if youre booting from the disc no. if youre writing to the hard drive (installing the OS) then yeah

first just in case i will get a usb to sata sometime and i will put the files onto my main pc and then i will download an iso file of windows xp and then load it.
