just so u know: he just wants to live a normal life without having to watch over the universe. All he wants is to leave his past behind; but he is still haunted by it. He grew up suffering a lifetime of trauma. And with that came scars both physical and mental. He has never once talked about his past; not even to his own wife (Glory of the RainWings)

in order to watch over the multiverse, you have to have a stable head; (which Altiar does not have) and you need to not know what love feels like (which Altiar has found when he met Glory)

yeah, well remember that Altiar wants nothing to do with watching over the multiverse; a bunch of people all over the multiverse already want to kill him and take his powers. for example: Giovanni and Team Rocket. AND he has a psychopathic ex girlfriend that has killed his first wife and then offed his second wife; and now he's determined to keep Glory forever. so that he has somebody to love, and care for.
