“The Bible doesn’t say ‘no evolution’ “
Neither does it say explicitly that there is evolution. It says, God created everything in 7 days (or six, and on the seventh he rested, whatever). In the past, you HAD TO believe this quite literally, unless you wanted to mess with the Church. This can be seen e. g. from the Nuremberg Chronicle, which begins with all that biblical stuff. See also (if you understand Spanish) the Reportorio of Rodrigo Zamorano, especially the fifth book. It becomes totally clear from these writings that the seven-day creation was accepted as a historical truth. Are we getting into contradictions? Does your god change his mind regarding how his “word” should be interpreted? How can you expect us to believe all this nonsense, if even Christians themselves cannot agree on what to make out of it? Also, should we follow the Catholic or the Protestant version of the Bible? Or the Ethiopic Bible, which itself has two versions? And sorry, but I am certainly not going to watch that video. Not because of what you think, that perhaps I would not be able to respond to it, but simply because I do not want to get apoplexy while listening to some Christians trying to convert me. I have done that in the past, and they did not really succeed, as you can see. But I would be really happy to hear why do you think that my above argument (with the judicial case comparison) is wrong.
