"I'm just a puppet- aren't I?"
He didn't respond. He didn't even look at me. He just kept staring out that stupid window, with it's stupid view of the city.
"ANSWER ME" I exploded in anger. I felt heat crawling along my body. My eyes were blazing with pure rage. I tightened my grip on the knife in my hand.
"No... you're not a puppet." He responded in his horrible, raspy voice.
"Liar. You've been using me- and my skills! The people you made me kill for you- I thought we were GOOD GUYS. But-"
He cut me off. "We are good guys."
He turned to me now. His eyes were dark, and unnatural. A chill went down my spine.
*How dare he scare me- HOW DARE HE* I thought. My rage was climbing, my vision was going blurry.
"SHUT UP" I screamed as I ran at and then tackled the man.
Glass broke. The wind blew past my face quickly. We were falling, plummeting to the ground
Time doesn't slow down before death. It goes fast. Very fast.
But I still had time to see my knife plunged in the man's chest. And I saw a dark, shadowy figure leave his body.

The figure watched, disappointed, as the two idiots fell and died.
*Now I need to find a new host* It thought snootily. *Stupid Connor- ruining all my plans and overreacting. He's dead now so I guess it doesn't matter.*
It looked out across the city. It could sense something... a powerful body. Somewhere out there.
It's eyes stretched out seeking, searching for the incredible source of power it could feel. Finally it found what it was looking for. And for the first time in a thousand years... it was shocked. The incredible source of power- the perfect host for this monster- was a potato.
