This took me a while to make. I hope you guys enjoy it! | Those special Swords Comics I posted today are not only awesome, but they also imply a LOT. Let me explain! The seven Demons that are haunting the Mortal Realm were originally part of a powerful monster known as the Pandemonium, and there weren't just seven of them, but EIGHT of them! We know seven of them already. They each had a 'Demon Sword Chronicles' comic. But we've never been introduced to this mysterious brown demon (#7) until now. #1: Eternal Slumber; #8: Sacred Oaths; #2: Absolute Fury; #7: ????? #3: Boundless Hunger; #6: "Unspeakable Darkness" (Not their real name); #4: Relentless Omens; #5: Endless Chaos; I had a feeling there were originally eight demons. How, you ask? Well, just look at the very first panel of Sacred Oath's DSC comic:; She's supposed to be the "Seven-Eyed Demon Sword", but Endless Chaos explains that she lost one of her eyes when the Pandemonium battled Kargob, implying that she originally had EIGHT eyes. If there are seven demons, each one of them having a unique number of eyes from 1-7, then why would she originally have eight eyes instead of seven? That's where I had a feeling there was an 8th (or rather, 7th) demon. And, wouldn't you know, the spot of Sacred's missing eye just so happens to be the exact same spot as the brown demon's eye in the Pandemonium. Sacred was supposed to be the Eight-Eyed Demon, but was forced to take the place of her seven-eyed sibling after they were killed. What the name of the true Seven-Eyed Demon is and what their powers are, we might not know. I really hope Matthew (the creator of the series) explains this at some point. For now, I have a theory for what might happen later on in the series. If you remember an earlier Swords thread, Harpe and Joyeuse (two human characters) were sent on a quest to defeat all of the Demon Swords after Boundless Hunger was sent to the God Realm. In their latest comic, they killed Unspeakable Darkness. My theory is that Unspeakable, and the rest of the Demons, will reunite with their lost sibling in spirit and reform the Pandemonium as a ghost. It's established in the comics that, while a sword can gain a soul by turning 100-years old, it can also have one artificially added. Just before Boundless Hunger was sent to the God Realm, the orcs got some of his DNA and used it to make a "Demonic Smartsword". It's implied that they're gonna make a bunch of copies of this sword and sell them. The Pandemonium could use Boundless' connections to the sword to create a soul and possess the person who holds it. The Demons can possess mortals, after all. And, if multiple Demonic Smartswords are sold, there could be a huge army of possessed mortals controlled by the Pandemonium! This would mean that Kargob and the other gods would have to join the heroes in defeating the Pandemonium for good! So yeah, that's my theory! We oughta see what happens when Matthew continues the series. I'll be checking his social media for any new comics that he releases.
