"Trump has been at the center of American politics now for the past 11 years, yet most of Western mainstream media still can’t seem to understand he uses hyperbole, makes jokes, and throws out outrageous statements that he knows thinking-challenged media will repeat for him 24/7. No, Canada isn’t going to be annexed. No, we’re not going to use military force to take Greenland. No countries will face 100 percent tariffs. Anyone with a functioning brain should be able to figure these out, yet media outlets regularly bring out “experts” to tell us what will happen if Trump carries out one of these non-serious statements. Democrats questioning Trump cabinet nominees talk like these are real threats. Note: some of these questioners are among the dumbest people in America, not just dumbest in Congress, although that is a pretty tough hurdle to clear. In addition to joking, maybe, just maybe, the person who authored The Art of the Deal is using some negotiating tactics. Most of the anchors on CNBC act like they have never heard of such a concept."
