Hmm well maybe higher taxes for elites, no congress stock trading, detailed and public reports of what goes on with the money and stuff.

HIGHER taxes for elites?? They pay almost all taxes already. I dont know about congress stock trading though. Public reports about what? Like private transactions? And how would this make a fair market?

Everyone knows the same as everyone else

If you took away 99 percent of all the elites wealth most of them would still be MULTI BILLIONAIRES. How much money would you need to live comfortably? I surely don't need billions of dollars

Public reports yeah so the people know what actually goes on and aren't in the shadows.

Congress stock trading should be banned if you don't know about it look it up real quick

Why should we take people's money and give it to the government?
And public reports of private transactions seems like a breech of privacy.

Why should the top elite hoard it? And not give it to them t would only take around 50 billion to end world hunger for a couple years study's show

Elon wants to be liked by the people maybe he should start some of that stuff

Of all the wealth in the U.S., 3.8% is controlled by billionaires. Why is it a rich person's job to feed the world? So they should have give away all of their money?
0 ups, 2mo
Elon Musk even donated 6.6 Billion dollars to fight hunger.

No 2/3 is controlled by top 10 percent. I'm not saying it's a job, but it should be a duty almost when combined they have enough to feed everyone for more then a hundred years why not do some of it.

Also if they gave away 99 percent I'm not saying they have to give that much most would still have a billion dollars

If I'm being honest I would have no idea what to do with that much

There are 800 people in the us with more than a billion dollars. If these people have worked their money and the government is already taking 40% of it, why is it their duty? Is it not the duty of the government of the particular country?

Hold up your facts are All of first wdym 40 percent is taken away huhhh like they wouldn't be so rich then

2. While it might not be there duty, would you share if you had that much? Or no cause those are the vibes you give

https://taxfoundation.org/data/all/federal/2025-tax-brackets/
37% federal tax for filers making over $625,000

That means they only get to keep 63% of what they make.

And yes i would share it, but most of their money is in businesses. Elon Musk doesent have $400 Billion in cash stuffed in his house.

But they are all agreeing on a fair amount of pay? And companies compete to pay their workers more.

Companies do Not compete to pay employees more.

Why would you think this? This is the opposite of capitalism.

Companies seek to pay the least possible.

Yes but they also want to incentivise workers. How is it unfair if all the workers agree on fair payment?

Good question! But the follow up question is who decides what is fair?

The person is not forced to work at any given job. You find the job that you think pays you a fair amount for the work done.

You seem very young. Like so young you've never held a job.

LEt's say I am a professional burger flipper. I make delicious hamburgers. I think a fair wage is $100,000 a year. However, the average is $37,000 a year.

So, I won't work at the local McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Carls Jr, or any of the other burger places. They think $18 an hour is a fair wage. I think it should be $48 an hour.

No one in my city is willing to pay me what I think is a fair wage. So...what do I do?

Move?

How? I'm unemployed. I have no money. How do I go to another city to see if they offer $48 an hour burger flipping jobs? I can't go get training for another job that pays $100k because I don't have money to go to school. Or pay rent. Or buy food.

So what do you do? The answer is work for $18 an hour and hope to save enough money to move somewhere else. Or go to school to get a different kind of job that pays more.

Im flattered.

The reason flipping burgers does not pay $100,000 is because of supply and demand.
Very many people can grill hamburgers, and many businesses want to hire, because a lot of people are willing to work that job, the wage is low.

Take for instance, plumbing. No degree is required, but it requires skill, and effort, thus fewer people wish to work as plumbers, but many people want to hire plumbers, so demand is high, and supply is low, thus a plumber can easily make $50,000 a year.

People for centuries have worked and saved, and did not expect to be rich.

Let's bring it back around- we're not talking about making money to be comfortable. Or to provide for your family.

We're talking about how to amass wealth you must be exploit the labor of others.

I dont think you have to, and you do. If capitalism is not the best system, the what would you suggest?

Labor is the source of all wealth. If someone doesn't mine it, make it, or build it, it's not going to happen.

So, you could make something and then sell it for money. If you don't make it, you need to convince someone to make it for you and then you sell it for more than what you paid them for.

You need to buy/produce things at the lowest cost possible while selling them at the highest cost possible and keep the gains (your profit).

To amass wealth, it becomes a matter of scale. You can't make all the thing and sell all the thing on your own. You will need people. So, you need to convince as many people as possible to work for you as cheaply as possible (keeping your costs low) and selling at the highest price possible (maxing your profits).

For you to keep as much possible from the profits, that means you have to pay the people who actually made it the least possible.

You are exploiting the work of your fellow humans.
