Trampled Underfoot Is Another Great Song

When this album came out, I got it in 8-track for my car and listened to it non stop for 3 months

I wouldn't know it if I hadn't lived it. I used to make a buck a tape rewinding 8 tracks that stopped playing. (Big money back then). The tape fed out from the smaller diameter of the inner reel and refed on the larger diameter outer reel so they were constantly compressing. Alas technology destroyed by simple geometry. I did like getting to a certain point in a mediocre song and hitting the track button to hit my favorite. LOL. I still think the case is easy to make the Zep I is the best debut album of all time- I know they were all seasoned vets, the combination was nothing short of magnificent.

It was a magical time to grow up in America. Van Halen was the big deal as I got into Jr. High.
We were using pencils on cassettes by then.
My cousin saw Zeppelin 3 times.
My oldest sister went to the 1st Willie Nelson picnic & was appalled by how smoky it was, lol.

LOL. Yeah Van Halen hit when I was a junior in smoky college. Game changing! I avoided smoke on a track scholarship, but never missed a concert. You could see Clapton (Derrick and the Dominoes split up the day before a concert I was going to see- still have those worthless tickets) just about everyone for $8-25. Now I'd have to mortgage my house. I'm making up for it now doing sound production for indoor and outdoor non-profit concerts. Have gotten to work with a few national name talents as well as solid local guys from the grey beards to the no beard yets.

They did something like that when Cream broke up. Sang 3 songs in NJ & left & that was that.
My son was a tour mgr/roadie for a few. Coachella & Warped. He got that from his mom 'tha groupie', too much circus for me. I put up a few tents in the army, but putting it up & taking it down was NOT my thing. I saw a lot of people back when.
Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Texxas Jam, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Rush, Metallica a couple times. Iron Maiden in Frankfurt.
