Fetishes and sex are very relevant because once someone is hooked it is almost impossible to break away from them. And if you're addicted from youth then it's more likely you don't even remember life without them, making it less likely you'll even try to. Do you know how much the p0rn industry influences a lot of peoples freaky fetishes or cheating on spouses and all that stuff? Getting people hooked and then calling all the objectors evil is one of the most despicable things done in history.

The government benefits a ton from it. They know it's harmful but they pushed for legalization of oversexualization like p0rn and now people are so hooked that if a politician were to try to change this, they'd never get elected, meaning in order to even run the country you have to have a bit of corruption. This way, they keep controlling the zeitgeist and thus it is hard to overcome it, nearly impossible.
At the end of the day it's a big control attempt. We get you hooked, you do what we want, we get in power, now it's too late. This is also why they hate religion. They want to be God, but in order to do so, they have to remove any God from the public square because their control tactics are condoned by no religion's god. This is why they fought to get religions out of teaching and only teach evolution nowadays.
