*He has encouraged a more pastoral approach towards divorced and remarried Catholics, suggesting they might receive Communion under certain conditions.

*He has also emphasized welcoming and accompanying LGBT individuals, famously stating, "Who am I to judge?" regarding gay priests. His approval of blessings for same-sex couples

* Wading into the social sciences (Climate change) instead of sticking with traditional church teachings.

* Suggesting that the Vatican and even the Pope should collaborate more with bishops and laypeople, particularly women. Undermining the traditional hierarchical structure of the Church

* He has been critical of capitalism and stayed quiet on the horrors of Socialism/communism a departure from the Church's focus on individual moral issues to broader socio-economic commentary, aligning him with more liberal theological thought.

* His statements on all religions being "paths to God" Breaking the Traditional view of most religions being the one true way.

*His statements about the church being "too masculine" and advocating for more female theologians removing men as the head of household! Undermining traditional male female relationships and the Catholic churches stated views on them.

* He has called Ukrainians "The Martyred" Yet called on them to "raise the white flag" The church historically teaches us that you do not give in when you are "in the right, fighting for the just"

*Excommunicating several individuals during his papacy, often for reasons related to schism, heresy, or significant disobedience to Church doctrine or authority for advocating for traditional teachings

* He has opened the rolls of Lectors, acolytes, and auditors or experts . Along with allowing women and girls to participate in the Maundy Thursday foot-washing ceremony, which had previously been restricted to men.

Plus more that I do not have time to get into. However all of this makes our traditional beliefs passed down as the word of God being open to interpretation by man and not the teachings of the word of God as laid out in the Bible!

Before the return of Jesus, there must be a great falling away of the believers. This is another sign that must happen. As the 'church', the body of believers - not the building, becomes more 'enlightened', they move away from God and toward humanity.

It is the church that has become more enlightened and changed its beliefs. I still believe what I was taught over the past 50 years. And read my bible regularly. Accepting sinners that do not repent and do no intend to is not the way.But "Who am I to judge"?

The Bible tells us to not suspend the very clear truth. The secular and/or demonic 'enlightenmemt' has shoehorned it's way into the church. Jesus tells us if we love Him, we will do as He says. He also told the sinners to "go and sin no more. His helper's indwelling in us must have a profound impact on the direction of our lives or there is very clear evidence and scriptures proving there was no such occurrence. It is clear that many will tell Jesus that they thought they were followers yet He will tell them He never knew them.
One other thing from Mel. He points out the fact that the current pope brought an idol into the Vatican under the umbrella of "all beliefs/gods lead to God. That is apostasy.

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled of was convincing people he didn't exist. His second was to get his followers deeply imbedded into the church at its highest levels! The church has become nothing but a well financed intelligence agency with bureaus all over the world in almost every town. Linked with governments and politicians to usher in a one world government to destroy the family and belief in God himself. It is time to not just flip the tables of the church itself but the ruling class and the governments they control!

The meaning of "Who am I to judge" reminds that it is God's role to distribute punishment and opprobrium. Christians themselves have to welcome sinners (Mathew 9:12-13).
Science is about understanding the beauty of God's creation and protecting it (for example from the power of money).
And I do believe that this guy (the pope) that studied more than any of most philosophers and heads of states, and was chosen among its competent peers, has much to bring to theological debate.
Finally men and women equality is subtly backed by the Bible. (Genesis, new Testament, but that would bring us too far).
However I indeed fail to see how "all religions are a path to God" (Jesus explocitely says "I am the way, the truth, the life. No ones comes to the father apart by me", but this is a complex issue.
Sorry for bad English.
Good evening !

I welcome meaningful conversation with my fellow sinners. I freely pass on that which I was freely given. Each person is free to choose how they want to live. If a friend were to tell me they want to rob a bank, I would try to talk them out of it since the consequences can be quite bad. Similarly, since God says that He cannot be in the presence of sin, the consequences of breaking His laws are exponentially catastrophic. I do not judge them for as you point out, that is way above my pay grade. But if I, and others do not warn of what we are told awaits those not covered by the perfect sacrificial blood of the Heavenly Lamb, then Jesus Christ has not changed us at all. I am no more worthy of His grace than anyone else in the history of the world, but knowing that He offers that mercy to any willing to accept it, why would we not pass it on to a world that are unknowingly desperately in need? I am frequently attacked by those that don't want to hear it and that level of push back can, many times cause many to stop engaging, maybe saying, "They made their bed.." The reason so many continue is that, ultimately, we answer to God and He demands that we pass on His message. I cannot know which unbeliever can be reached. God makes Himself known. All we can do is shine our little lights upon Him.

Interesting note. Have you listened to the Joe Rogan experience with Mel Gibson recently? They talk about this.
